At Dogodan Therapeutics (DTI) , we are passionate about utilizing the latest advances in biology, genomics and computing to deliver revolutionary new treatments which extend human life, for diseases such as cancer and other indications with the highest unmet medical need.
We are the first company to treat diseases as dysregulated biological networks, by designing and optimizing our nucleic acid therapeutics to directly modulate gene expression at multiple loci. This disrupts the traditional paradigm of small molecule and antibody approaches which ignore biological complexity to focus on a single target. In effect, we test and develop combination therapies as part of the discovery phase of therapeutic development, right from the outset.
Lung diseases are a leading cause of death
Beyond the current pandemic, respiratory diseases remain a leading cause of death and disability in the world. Lung cancer kills 1.6 million people each year. About 65 million people suffer from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and 3 million die from it each year. About 334 million people suffer from asthma, affecting 14% of all children globally. Pneumonia kills millions of people annually and is a leading cause of death among children under 5 years old. Over 10 million people develop tuberculosis (TB) and 1.4 million die from it each year.
